NewVIc aims to raise students’ aspirations and it supports them whatever their goals. Whether students choose to enter employment or continue with their studies, our objective is to provide students with the knowledge and skills they require to progress to the next step.
The college has strong links with leading universities, including Oxford and Cambridge. Students benefit from visits and master classes from top academics.
Rashmi Aliyar (ex-Cumberland School), NewVIc 2006-2008.
Rashmi completed A-levels in biology (A), chemistry (A) and mathematics (A). He is now studying medicine at Imperial College London.
Foysal Miah (ex-Kingsford Community School), NewVIc 2006-2008.
Foysal completed A-levels in classical civilisation (D), further mathematics (A), mathematics (A) and physics (A). He is now studying science at the University of Cambridge.
Melissa Charles (ex-Royal Docks Community School), NewVIc 2005-2008.
Melissa began on the first diploma travel and tourism. She then progressed to the national diploma and achieved a triple merit. She is now studying policing at Middlesex University.
Ediz Enver, (ex-Royal Docks Community School), NewVIc 2006-2008.
Ediz completed A-levels in accounting (A), business (A), media studies (A) and AS‑level financial studies (A). He is now studying accounting and financial management at Loughborough University.
Francesca Lee (ex-Newham Late Admissions Project), NewVIc 2005-2008.
Francesca began on the first diploma travel and tourism before progressing to the national diploma. She is now studying modern languages at Middlesex University.
Ricardo de Silva, (ex-Lister Community School) NewVIc 2005-2008.
Ricardo began on the first diploma performing arts course at NewVIc. He then progressed to the national diploma achieving a triple merit. He is now studying dance at Lewisham College.
Michael Falzon (ex-Royal Docks Community School), NewVIc 2006-2008.
Michael completed A-levels in art and design (A), graphic design (A), media studies (B) and obtained a distinction for a national award in digital media. He is now studying computer games and visual effects at Anglia Ruskin University.
