Careers centre
Planning your career is an integral part of your programme at NewVIc. The college has two careers advisers and a visiting Connexions careers adviser to provide specialist careers support. In addition to individual interviews with a careers adviser, there are scheduled tutorials to engage in careers, higher education and employability assignments to develop careers management skills.
The careers centre is based in room B202 in the Learning Resources Centre. It offers a comprehensive range of careers materials including books, prospectuses, information about employment opportunities and all types of careers as well as useful reference material. There is a booking service as well as daily drop-in sessions to talk to careers advisers.
