Towards Independence

Two years full-time
students

This course is designed specifically for students with moderate to severe learning difficulties who may also have disabilities. The course is designed to support students in gaining the skills needed to live a more independent life. If you have specific needs and would like to learn more skills in a supported environment then this course might suit you.

Required qualifications

There are no specific entry requirements. Applications to the course must be made with the assistance of your Connexions careers adviser and school. Applicants will then be invited for a practical assessment at the college. Suitable candidates will attend a formal interview with parents/guardians. Successful applicants later take part in an introduction to the course before the summer holidays. You are encouraged to apply early as spaces are limited.
