Intermediate vocational courses

If you are completing a broad GCSE programme and are likely to achieve at least two A*–D grades in relevant subjects you will be able to study a one-year intermediate vocational course.

It is likely that you prefer coursework to examinations and want to focus on one subject area or career path. You will learn through hands-on tasks.

After completing the course you will be able to progress to an advanced level course such as a BTEC extended diploma (BTEC national diploma).

GCSE mathematics and GCSE English are available for students to re-sit alongside their full-time course.
