NewVIc Baccalaureate
Employers and universities look for people who are creative, can think for themselves and work well with others. At NewVIc, all students have the opportunity to develop these skills.
The NewVIc Bacc values your wider achievements and the skills which help you to be a successful learner, citizen and employee. It will also prepare you to make a real difference in the world as an informed and active citizen.
To achieve the NewVIc Bacc, you need to:
- be successful in your main subjects
- develop your skills of communication, research, personal, learning and thinking through the NewVIc+ programme and a research project
- undertake personal challenges, contribute to the college and wider community by volunteering, getting involved in sport or creative arts or work-related experience
- plan for your future career development.
You will need a high level of attendance and commitment to your course. The NewVIc Bacc is recognised by several universities and the most successful students receive sponsorship and prizes from local universities and employers.
