Careers guidance
Our careers and Connexions advisers will help you research your future opportunities, develop your skills, decide which direction to take and put your career plans into place.
You can drop in to see an adviser in the careers library at lunchtime or book a session. A vacancy service and job club are available for students wishing to find work after college. Students hoping to progress to university receive guidance from the careers advisers and their tutor.
During your time at NewVIc you will attend careers sessions and open days with speakers from universities and businesses. Themed events around different sectors will inform you about routes into competitive and popular industries.
You will also attend the college’s higher education fair and an employment and training fair. Over thirty representatives from universities and employers attend these fairs to talk to students face-to-face about the opportunities available to them.
