Tired, wet and aching…the ups and downs of a 300km bike ride

r return to NewVIc
After a relaxing Eurostar journey from London to Paris and a three-day break taking in the sights and sounds of the French capital, the staff and students who had undertaken to travel back from Paris by bike set off on their journey home.

Taking in Gisors, Forges les Eaux, Dieppe and Groombridge before arriving at NewVIc, the weary group were welcomed back to England by a party of NewVIc students and a group from Lille who are at the college on an exchange trip.

The best parts of the trip included the time in France, the sight of a red double decker bus on arriving on the outskirts of London and the downhill cycling. The worst were the storms that followed the group from the ferry ride back to Newhaven.

A huge congratulations goes to the group (NewVIc students Alex Prince, Joel Alarcon, Osvaldo Gloria, Peter Sinal and Rihards Golsts; Lycée Montesquieu students Mégane Rioux, Miriam Kante and Oceanelle Rioux and NewVIc staff Jean-Paul Monnet and Hérick Moukodi). Thanks to Jean-Paul Monnet and Ségolène Drouin for so successfully organising the trip.
