The Universal Declaration of Human Rights is a milestone document in the history of human rights. The artist Monica Ross will introduce and explore the importance and relevance of the document in today’s society. 

The Universal Declaration of Human Rights is drafted by representatives with different legal and cultural backgrounds from all regions of the world to promote dignity and justice. For more information about the document visit www.un.org/en/documents/udhr/.

It is the most translated document in the world and can be found in more than 300 translations at www.ohchr.org/EN/UDHR/Pages/SearchByLang.aspx.

To celebrate International Woman’s Week Monica will also be presenting ‘Anniversary - an act of memory’, a group recital of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights on Saturday March 13 at Stratford Circus. For more information click here.
