NewVIc+ - Autumn term programme 2009
Aims
The NewVIc+ schools programme aims to help school students to:
- explore different courses, careers and progression routes
- appreciate how interests, aptitudes and skills should relate to progression choices.
We also hope that the programme will help to enrich the curriculum and motive students with their studies.
Careers evening package
- Medicine, nursing and health sciences evening
5.00 – 7.45 pm, Wednesday 4 November
- Law evening,
5.00 – 7.45 pm, Wednesday 18 November
- Business, IT and finance evening,
5.00 – 7.45 pm, Wednesday 25 November
- Leisure, tourism and sport evening,
5.00 – 7.45 pm, Wednesday 9 December

Cost: £300 per school for four events with ten students (plus parents and guardians) at each
Half-day event
- European language conference
9.30 am – 12 pm, Tuesday 20 October
Cost: £60 per school for 10 students
Careers fair
- Construction and careers fair
9.30 am – 12.30 pm, Thursday 10 December
Cost: free
Outside the box
- A series of debates taking place after school for gifted and talented students
- Possibility of a supporting workshops in critical thinking
- The programme will be available shortly
