Supporting your child through the application process
NewVIc’s application process starts in November and applications are normally accepted until April of the following year. Some courses are very popular and fill up quickly so please encourage your son or daughter to apply as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
The application process is straightforward and NewVIc’s admissions team are able to assist with any queries.
Application process:
- Read the prospectus for information on the courses NewVIc offers.
- Help your child choose a qualification and course.
- Your child will be interviewed by a member of the NewVIc team (either at their school or at the college).
- Come with your child to the NewVIc open day in March to meet teachers and view the outstanding facilities we have to offer.
- Taster day – during the summer term your child will be invited to a taster day at the college. This provides an opportunity for potential NewVIc students to try out chosen subjects and courses and to find out about the clubs and activities run at the college, so please encourage your child to attend.
- After your child received their GCSE results they will need to come to the college to enrol. They will receive a letter to invite them to enrolment. You are also invited to attend.
