NewVIc alumni perform at National Student Drama Festival.

‘Seen’ will be released live online at 7.30pm on Saturday 27th March and will be followed by a Q and A with the company. Devised by the company and drawing on their own experiences, ‘Seen’ fuses storytelling, spoken word and physical theatre to explore how it feels to be a young person in the here and now. The company of performers are Moses Oridoye, Eden Tambala, Martyna Belz, Aman Basha, Larissa Silva, Jason Fernandes and Jemima Nzinga.

NewVIc Honours student offered a place to study Classics at Oxford University

NewVIc student Aisha has received an offer to study Classics at Oxford University. Aisha is the first student from NewVIc to study Classics at the prestigious Worcester College. Aisha will be studying Classics in the study of Greek and Roman civilisations. She is predicted to achieve grades of AAA in the summer. Aisha is the second child in her family to be going to one of the top Russell Group universities.

16-19 Tuition Fund

This year, the college has been allocated some additional resources by the Government to provide students with extra support for their studies. We will use this fund to provide additional one to one and small group support to help ensure students are on track with their learning and able to do as well as possible in their exams and assignments, achieve their aims and progress successfully.

NewVIc Teachers win London Teacher of the Year Awards

NewVIc teachers Shabnam Bibi and Carina Ancell from Newham Sixth Form College have both won a London Teacher of the Year Award. Shabnam also ended up winning in her vocational category. They were both selected from a total of 40 other staff who were celebrated in London last week.
