CLASS OF 2025

Congratulations to all the Students at NewVIc - Class of 2025!

Today we were delighted to welcome back our students as they collected their A Level, Vocational and T Level results.  We are proud of the achievements of all our students and pleased that over 450 students have already secured their first choice destinations, including progression onto university, apprenticeships, Higher Technical Qualifications or their chosen career pathways.

NewVIc has seen another significant year of improvement for A-levels, T-Levels and BTECs. The pass rate was 95%, a double-digit increase since NewVIc Sixth Form Centre joined the Newham College London family.

High grades on BTEC courses rose by 17%, with 64% of students now achieving the highest grades.

A-level programmes have shown sustained improvement, with a 2% increase in the pass rate to 95% and a 2% rise in the proportion of students achieving grades A*-C (54%). Nearly 50% of students studying A Level Maths and 40% of students studying A Level Business attained grades A* to B.

Our T-Levels in Digital Production, Childcare, Nursing, and Finance and Accounting performed strongly too, with a 94% pass rate.

As ever, there have been some fantastic individual success stories:

Amir studied A Levels in Maths, Biology, Chemistry and achieved AAA. He said, “I feel really proud about what I have achieved. I completed the Progress to Advanced course at NewVIc (a 1 year intensive GCSE programme) and progressed onto A Levels.”

“On one hand I feel sad about leaving NewVIc Sixth Form and the amazing friends I have made – on the other hand, I am really excited about starting a degree in Medicine.”

Sadia completed A Levels in Biology, Chemistry and Maths, achieving ABB respectively and is heading to King’s College London to study Biochemistry. She said, “Studying at NewVIc has been fun. I have made a lot of friends by taking part in a range of activities, from being a student marketing ambassador and getting involved in the Student Union. I was very shy when I joined NewVIc, but staff pushed me to get involved in student life which helped me to build up my confidence.”

Sayma studied a Level 3 BTEC Extended Diploma in Cybersecurity and achieved MMM. She is planning to study Cybersecurity and Digital Forensics at Greenwich University.  She said, ‘My time at NewVIc has been great. I received lot’s of support from staff – the staff here are simply are amazing; they really took care of me, helping me to exceed in my studies.”

Lamiya studied BTEC Applied Science and achieved a DDD. She said, “I feel fulfilled. The past two years have been stressful, but the hard work has paid off and now I can finally relax and look forward to further study.”

Deputy Principal, Newham College London, James Gould said,

“I am proud of the students, teachers, and support staff who have worked hard together to achieve another improved year of results. It has been wonderful to see the journey made at the NewVIc Sixth Form Centre since the merger with Newham College London. We continue to invest in the sixth form, including a £2 million investment in digital facilities that will be available for students when they return in September.”

“We wish all of our students the very best as they move on to the next adventure in their educational journey and/or careers.”
