You will also have the opportunity to try out some of your courses to make sure you are happy with your choices. You will also get some advice on what you can do over the summer in order to prepare so you can get a head start on your studies.

We're interested in you, not just the course you have applied for. Therefore if you want to change courses, that's not a problem. This offer will guarantee you on a place on any course you want - providing that you meet the entry requirements when you come to enrol.

Sam is a budding mathematician at NewVIc Sixth Form Centre. She’s in the second year of her A Levels, studying Geography, Business, Maths and Further Maths and plans to build a career in the research on the endless possibilities of maths and teach future mathematicians as a professor. She is actively involved in sixth form life, taking advantage of the many opportunities available to students at NewVIc Sixth Form.
This academic year, Sam joined the Marketing Student Ambassador Programme (a Head Marketing Student Ambassador), proudly represented the Sixth Form Centre in the UK Senior Maths Challenge, a prestigious national competition organised by the UK Mathematics Trust (UKMT) and also led Maths tutoring sessions for students completing GCSE resits last year, demonstrating her strong subject knowledge. We caught up with Sam to find out about her journey.
Inspiring stories: “I felt that I had real options to succeed at NewVIc. Rather than turning me away, they supported me and gave me the opportunity to start at Level 2.”
Meet Muhammad who is in his first year of an Level 3 Applied Science and A Level Maths. He is actively involved in sixth form life, taking advantage of the many opportunities available to students at NewVIc Sixth Form Centre.
Inspiring stories: “Studying at NewVIc was one of the best decisions I’ve made. If you’re thinking about Foundation Learning, just remember that it’s a great place to grow, explore, and prepare for your future too. There’s lots to get involved with and I love my friends and teachers here.”
Danny is in the second year of his Preparation for Adulthood course (part of the Foundation Learning programme) and a former Stratford Academy student. He is thriving on the programme, taking advantage of the on site sensory garden, developing gardening skills as well as life skills through access to using the kitchen and a purpose built flat - some of the many opportunities available to foundation level students at NewVIc.
We caught up with Danny to find out about his journey at NewVIc.
Inspiring stories: “I want to be a voice for every student. One of my aims is to work with the senior leadership team to ensure student work and social spaces are as comfortable as possible.”
Maxine-Rose is the newly elected Student Union President at NewVIc Sixth Form Centre. She’s in the second year of her A Levels, studying Biology, Psychology and English Language and plans to build a career in Psychiatry. She is actively involved in sixth form life, taking advantage of the many opportunities available to students at NewVIc.
This academic year (2025-26), Maxine-Rose is serving as NewVIc’s Student Union President and has also been involved in the Student Council. Prior to joining sixth form, she attended St Catherine’s School for Girls. We caught up with Maxine-Rose to find out about her journey.
